I am a meteorologist, storyteller, and content strategist with 17+ years of experience shaping the narrative around weather, climate change, and related topics like astronomy. In my blog, Cirrusly Curious: Exploring Weather, Climate, and Cosmos, I unravel science mysteries about the wild world of weather, climate change, space, and more—designed for weather and astronomy enthusiasts, science lovers, wanderers, nature conservationists, science educators, and curious minds.
In 2024, I launched Halfmoon Media LLC and my blog, Cirrusly Curious, to explore weather, climate, and science topics with the freedom to experiment and innovate. I also work as a content manager consultant for Spire Global, developing weather and climate content for social media and online audiences while overseeing the promotion of a daily weather broadcast. Additionally, I contribute to weather news coverage as a correspondent for The Boston Globe.
Previously, as Managing Editor at AccuWeather, I led the company’s digital content strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality articles and videos across platforms like AccuWeather.com, social media, and partner sites such as Apple News and SmartNews. My team and I produced breaking weather news, forecast stories, live blogs, climate coverage, seasonal outlooks, and in-depth features spanning topics like astronomy, health, and travel. Our stories reached more than 200 million readers annually.

The making of a self-proclaimed weather nerd
My love of science, and in particular the weather, began when I was a young kid. It’s difficult to pinpoint the exact moment my passion deepened to the point of me wanting to pursue meteorology as a career, but I was quite young.
I grew up in Bucks County, about 30 miles northeast of Philadelphia, and my fascination with the weather grew as I experienced the Blizzard of ‘93 and ‘96 when snow came down fast and furious, piling up waist-deep. I spent countless hours building igloos out of mountainous snow drifts and sledding with my brothers.
That was it. I was hooked. After that, I wanted to learn everything I could about the weather from the ins and outs of snowstorms to what made spring and summertime thunderstorms erupt. I often had to be pulled away from windows as thunder roared outside, because I could not peel myself away from the awe of nature.
That same curiosity led me to studying the weather and earning a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology at Penn State University before I worked at AccuWeather.
